MURAL is a digital whiteboard company whose workforce has always been 100% remote. As the world changed, they wanted to speak to their experience early in the shift to hybrid-work. From this directive, we concepted, scripted, and created various real world work environments. MURAL is shown as a solution for productivity in the hybrid lifestyle. We wanted to balance the focus on the product - a 2D world - with the humanity that is behind the work - because work is not a place. We created animations that are identical to the user interface. We then placed those in various screens within moving camera shots. The product feels immersed in the real world - where dogs need to be walked and kids need to be hugged.
The MURAL product has playful builder tools. You can use shapes, lines, and imagery to make detailed pieces of art. There have been people that build amazing works of art.
Inspired by those artists, we wanted to show off this side in the design of the Supers. While each is made within Adobe After Effects, they all can be built practically in a mural. These help show the fun that is inherent in using MURAL.
